Art for Today – Shanghai

A few more pages from the comic I self-published back in the 90’s – Shanghai. This was one I wrote, drew, inked, lettered, colored, and published all by myself.

Art for Today – more Shanghai!

Shanghai – this one is all me. A book I wrote, drew, inked, colored and lettered, as well as self-published back in 1997. I really wanted to do more in the field of comics other than just ink, and I couldn’t find anyone who would give me a chance, so I just did it myself. Still one of the projects I’m most personally proud of.

Art for Today – Inking John Royal

Here’s a piece I did for the comic I self-published back in 1999 called Shanghai. John Royal penciled her, and I inked it. John and I worked together on Prime and Ultraforce back in the Malibu Comics days. I always enjoyed working with him, and felt our styles went together really well.

Art for Today – Shanghai vs Spawn

This one is an oldie, but completely hand drawn by me. Crow quill and rapidograph on bristol board. This is my character Shanghai fighting Spawn above the city. When I see some of my older work, I wonder how good I could have become if I had continued to draw for all these years.
